The Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) established this scholarship program to provide financial assistance to students within our community who are entering or enrolled in a college diploma or university degree, in agriculture and/or environment-related programs.

Aim and Benefits of Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) 2024 Scholarship
- Scholarship will be give to 12 successful selected applicants that meets the full scholarship criteria
- The 2 awards is worth the sum $3,000
Requirements for Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) 2024 Scholarship Qualification
- The student must be a permanent resident of Wellington County, Perth County, or the Region of Waterloo.
- The applicant must be pursuing studies in an agricultural and/or environmental-related program and provide evidence of acceptance into such program.
- The applicant must have a proven record of involvement in school and community activities. Ex: 4-H, school sports, clubs, and volunteer work within agricultural/environmental initiatives.
- A 500-word essay written by the student on their future career plans for the agricultural or environmental sector.
Interview date, Process and Venue for Grand River Agricultural Society (GRAS) 2024 Scholarship
- Incomplete or inaccurate applications will not be considered (SIN must be provided for tax purposes).
- A digital copy of final transcript must be provided.
- By completing and submitting the application, all scholarship recipients agree to give GRAS permission to post/publish the recipient’s photo, video, and name online via GRAS social media channels and the GRAS website.
- Applications that are not selected, are not carried forward into the next year. Applicants must reapply to be considered for future scholarships.
- GRAS is not responsible for incomplete applications.
Applications must be received by July 1st. Decisions will be completed by August 15th.
