This award is to be offered to the best "all-around" student graduating from the high school and selected according to criteria established by each school. This award may be held with any other University of Manitoba Entrance Scholarship.

Aim and Benefits of University of Manitoba Chown Centennial Entrance Scholarship
All high schools in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario are invited to select a recipient of the Chown Centennial Scholarship, currently valued at $1000 per student
Requirements for University of Manitoba Chown Centennial Entrance Scholarship Qualification
- complete with high standing (minimum of 85% or comparable standing on the evaluation scale used by the school) a high school program that makes the student eligible to enter a University 1 or any direct entry program of the University ;
- register by September immediately following for a full-time course load (24 credit hours) in University 1 or any direct entry program at the University to which the student has been admitted
