The Alberta Golf Association Foundation, established in 1994, is focused on supporting students on their path to pursue a post-secondary education. Each year the Foundation awards approximately $50,000 to deserving scholarship applicants.
These scholarships are made possible as a result of the donations received from Alberta Golf Championship competitors, endowments from loyal patrons, supporters of the game of golf and a casino fundraising initiative.
Amount varies from $50,000 and below.
Must be pursuing post-secondary education.
Must be from Alberta.
Must demonstrate academic performance.
Must show financial need.
Must have participated in volunteer or community activities.
Must submit a personal statement about how golf has influenced personal development.
Must be accepted and enrolled full-time in a university or college for the entire academic year.
Must reapply annually to renew (up to 4 years max).
Immediate family members of financial donors may be restricted from receiving the award.
