Are you a full-time graduate student with groundbreaking ideas in economics or finance? The Bank of Canada is now accepting submissions for its 2025 Graduate Student Paper Award (GSPA). This prestigious opportunity invites PhD students studying in Canada—or Canadian citizens studying abroad—to present their original work, receive feedback from top researchers and policymakers, and compete for up to $2,500 in prizes. Shortlisted finalists will be flown to Ottawa for a fully funded workshop on November 5, 2025, followed by the Bank’s renowned Annual Conference.
Following the workshop, winners receive $2,500, and the runner up gets $1,000
