Bishop's University Merit Short Term Research Scholarship Program for Foreign Students 2024

The objectives of the Merit Scholarship for Foreign Students program are to support the internalization of research activities in Quebec’s higher education institutions, to attract top foreign researchers and students and promote international recognition of Quebec universities and College Centres for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT), and to create cultural links and pave the way for the setting up of joint scientific research projects.

Benefits

$3,000 per month, up to four months will be awarded recipient for Merit Masters Scholarship Program for Foreign Students

Requirements

 Candidates must have obtained their PhD no more than five years before the deadline for the competition. It is intended for?technical and university students or researchers.The short-term research or professional development must be conducted in an institution other than the one at which you were enrolled at the time of application.

How To Apply

Those interested in applying to any of these competitions will need to submit the following to the Office of Research and Graduate Studies at [email protected] by July 31, 2024.

• Candidate’s CV
• Letter of intent (maximum of two pages which must include:
  • Statement of support from the supervisor
• Two letters of references
• Copy of all university transcripts
• Research statement outlining the proposed research at Bishop’s (maximum of four pages)

If preselected, you will be notified in early September by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. FRQNT will then contact all preselected candidates to complete an electronic form with the required documents attached.
