Calgary Foundation Calgary Black Chambers Legacy Scholarship 2026

The Calgary Black Chambers Legacy Scholarship was established by the Calgary Black Chambers, a non-profit organization, consisting of individuals working to support diversity in and around Calgary, and to foster the growth of Black culture in Calgary. The Calgary Black Chambers serves as mentors and advocates, fostering the growth of great students and future professionals. Its three pillars are: Mentorship, Scholarship, and Fellowship.

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a Black Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be entering second year or beyond of first undergraduate degree or diploma program, enrolled in full-time study.
• Be attending a Calgary post-secondary institution or graduated from a high school in Airdrie, Diamond Valley, Calgary, Chestermere, Cochrane, High River, Okotoks, Springbank or Strathmore and attending a Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Demonstrate good academic standing (GPA greater than or equal to 2.7 or 70%).
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Demonstrate school and/or community involvement.
• Provide one reference letter.
