• To be eligible, applicants must be nominated by one Canadian institution with a Vanier quota.
• Must be pursuing your first doctoral degree (including joint programs with research).
• After the announcement of results, you will start full-time PhD studies at the nominating institution.
• In the last 2 years of full-time study had a first-class average.
• Applicants do not receive any previous doctoral-level scholarship from CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC.
• Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, or international students.
