$5,000 (Paid in two installments of $2,500 in upcoming Fall and Winter)

Requirements

The bursary will be presented to a University of Regina undergraduate student who meets the following criteria:

  • Provide proof of Indigenous ancestry (includes Status First Nation, Non-Status First Nation, Métis or Inuit);
  • Saskatchewan resident for a minimum of 12 months;
  • Students entering directly from highschool must have achieved a minimum admission average of 65%;
  • Continuing students must have achieved a minimum (UGPA) of 65%;
  • Students may be registered on or off campus in any undergraduate faculty at University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada, Luther College or Campion College;
  • Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Engineering & Applied Science, and the Creative Design Technologies program in the Faculty of Media, Art, and Performance;
  • Demonstrates financial need;
  • Registered and remains registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours in the semester the bursary is presented;
  • Include a personal statement that speaks to experience with respect to leadership, management experience, and community service,
  • Includes a statement of career goals and future employment plans in Saskatchewan’s Crown corporations or within the province of Saskatchewan,; and
  • The recipient agrees to complete the consent form to share their personal contact information with the Crown Investment Corporation.

 Notes

  • To receive the second installment in the Winter semester, students must maintain a minimum Undergraduate Grade Point Average (UGPA) of 65%.
  • Equal weighting will be given to financial need and experience in the areas of leadership, management, and/or community service, career goals, and potential to contribute to the Province of Saskatchewan.
