Benefits
- Several scholarships of $20,000 (2nd cycle: Payment of $5,000 per session, up to four sessions.)
- Several scholarships of $30,000 (3rd cycle: Payment of $5,000 per session, up to six sessions.)
Requirements
- At the time of submitting the application, have submitted one new application for admission in a regular 2nd or 3rd cycle study program (master's or doctorate) at Laval University for the session winter, summer or autumn of the year 2026. To access the form, the admission application must have been processed and the admission fees must have been paid.
- Be exceptionally involved in one or more areas of activity.
- Maintain student status (e) full-time at Laval University throughout the study program for which the scholarship was awarded (fall and winter sessions);
- Hold valid study permit:
- You must carry out your studies in Canada and own one valid study permit when receiving scholarship payments.
- If you need to make an initial request for immigration documents temporary for studies, follow-up with a regulated immigration advisor (CRIEE) is required. It will be necessary to demonstrate that the steps are carried out in a timely manner.
Selection Process
- Commitment and involvement: voluntary activities, time offered to an organization /project /association, recent, long-term and/or recurring commitment, altruism, enthusiasm, potential to continue the commitment, etc.
- Leadership: leadership qualities, initiative, perseverance, research potential (scientific aspect), motivation with one's group, sense of responsibility and commitment, inspiring role model for one's peers, etc.
- Dimension of citizen of the world
- Academic performance & Quality of file presentation
