This CityU Need-Based Scholarship?is specifically designed for Indigenous students. It is granted biannually for Fall/ Winter and Spring/ Summer quarters based on demonstrated financial need.

Requirements

• All continuing and new Canadian First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students enrolled in any CityU degree-granting programs in Canada 
• Must be enrolled in the relevant academic quarter during the scholarship period 
• Must maintain satisfactory academic standing to remain eligible for the scholarship 

Selection Process

• Applications Open: Jul 21 to August 10, 2025 (11:59 PM PST) 
• Adjudication Period: August 11 to August 29, 2025  
• Decisions Communicated: September 2 to September 4, 2025 

Application Documents

• Canadian Notice of Assessment 2024 (T4’s are not a valid substitute for the tax assessment) – Mandatory 
• Student loans letter of award (if applicable)  
• 3rd party sponsorship letter (if applicable)
