The Digby & Area Health Services Charitable Foundation is committed to strengthening local healthcare by supporting the education of future nurses. To help achieve this goal, the Foundation offers three annual scholarships of $5,000 each to students from Atlantic Canada who are entering or currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) program at an accredited Canadian university. This scholarship supports tuition costs and is renewable for up to three additional years based on academic performance. In return, recipients commit to providing one year of nursing service in the Digby area for each year they receive the scholarship.
$5,000 per recipient, awarded annually to help cover tuition costs
To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit a complete application package that includes:
Proof of residency in Atlantic Canada
A current Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Proof of acceptance or current enrollment in a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) program at an accredited Canadian university
Official transcript of the most recent academic record
A headshot photo
A letter of intent/motivation, which should address:

Note: All documents must be submitted together in one complete package. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Confirm Eligibility
Be a resident of Atlantic Canada
Be entering or currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) program at an accredited Canadian university
Be willing to commit to one year of nursing service in the Digby area for each year the scholarship is received
