This scholarship program is aimed at CPAs, members in good standing of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Quebec who are pursuing doctoral studies in an area of expertise in the CPA profession when submitting their application.

Requirements

• Be a CPA, member in good standing of the Order;
• Pursue doctoral studies in the following areas of expertise: certification, financial accounting, elements of sustainable development and information technologies related to the field of accounting, finance, taxation, management and management accounting;
• Commit to mentioning the Foundation's contribution in any publication that may result from doctoral studies and research work;
• Complete the scholarship application form and submit the application file to the Foundation before the deadline for submitting applications (the elements constituting the application file can be sent in English).

Selection Process

• Academic record excellence
  • the cumulative average obtained during university studies (master's and doctorate, if started at the time of submission of the application);
  • the progression and duration of studies;
  • preparing the candidate for doctoral studies.

• Interest, skills and potential for university teaching and research taking into account the candidate's career path
  • the nature of the curriculum;
  • the candidate's experience and achievements;
  • evaluation forms and letters of recommendation.

• The quality and interest of the research project
  • clarity of scientific objectives;
  • the relevance of the methodology in relation to the objectives pursued;
  • the originality of the project;
  • contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the areas of expertise previously mentioned in the program eligibility criteria;
  • contribution to the teaching of future CPAs.
