Requirements
- As the applicant, you must be the child of a regular employee or retiree of Emera Inc., Emera Energy, Emera New Brunswick, and/ or Emera Newfoundland & Labrador;
- A Canadian citizen or landed immigrant;
- Recipients are selected based on a solid academic record (minimum 75% average), their written essay, (community) leadership, and involvement in extracurricular activities.
Application Documents
To qualify please complete the Emera Employees’ Children Scholarship online application by uploading the following mandatory documents:
- Your resume;
- Your High School transcript (Grade 10-12, including fall semester marks);
- A minimum of one reference letter. You may submit up to three letters, however at least one reference is to be provided by your Teacher, Guidance Counsellor, Vice-Principal or Principal in support of your application;
- Your estimated first year budget (please click on this template link to open the document);
- And finally; your essay* of max 500 words.
