Requirements
- Applicant must be a Canadian citizen and permanent residents of Nova Scotia.
- Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following programs from any Canadian University or College: Power Engineering, Power Line Technician, Instrumentation Tech, Engineering, Technology, Business, Marketing & Communications, Environmental Sciences or Law.
- Recipients are selected on the basis of financial need, leadership, service to the community, involvement in extra-curricular activities, and their answer to four structured questions. Academic standing will be considered as part of the selection process.
Selection Process
- A selection committee, made up of Nova Scotia Power Employees, will review the applications and make their decisions based on the following criteria: financial need, leadership and service to the community, involvement in extra-curricular activities and the responses to the structured questions.
- Academic standing will be considered as part of the selection process.
- Selected applicants may be invited for an interview.
