This entrance scholarship is offered to eligible Canadian or American traditional undergraduate applicants who provide evidence of significant Christian leadership involvement during their high school years. This may include the applicant’s service in the local church, camp ministry leadership, community engagement, mission trips, or other acts of Christian service.

Requirements
- To be considered for this award, the applicant must demonstrate above-average academic achievement during their high school studies.
- The applicant is also be required to submit a letter of application to the Admissions and Financial Awards Office highlighting their Christian leadership and service involvement.
- A reference letter from a pastor or other Christian leader is also required.
- Recipients of the Garnet and Kay Wheaton Leadership Scholarship will be expected to be involved in a leadership role in a local church or on campus and typically enroll in curricular and co-curricular programs designed to encourage growth in Christian leadership during their studies at Crandall, such as the Bachelor of Theology program, ClayStone, the Youth Leadership Certificate, the Worship Apprenticeship Program, or CU Serves.
- Students would also be expected to participate in a periodic President’s Leadership Forum in both semesters of their first year which will feature leaders who have excelled in their field. Recipients who have met the program expectations during the year will be invited to attend an exclusive weekend retreat toward the end of their second semester.
