The Laura Bassi Scholarship, established in 2018 by Editing Press, provides editorial assistance rather than direct funding to postgraduate students and early-career academics working on neglected or overlooked research topics across all disciplines. The scholarship is awarded three times per year (Spring, Summer, and Winter).
Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program OR
An academic in the first five years of full-time employment
Research must involve a neglected or unconventional topic within the discipline
Open to part-time students
Application must be submitted in English (the manuscript itself can be in English, French, German, or Spanish)
Selection Criteria
Research relevance to underrepresented/neglected topics
Quality and originality of proposed project
Academic standing (based on CV)
Completed application form (submitted via the online portal)
Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Applicants are required to submit a completed application form along with their CV using the portal prompted by the 'Apply' button below by the relevant deadline.
To help defray the Scholarship’s administrative costs, applicants are subject to a voluntary USD 10.00 fee. All first-time applicants who are unable to pay the application fee are welcome to take advantage of the fee waiver option on the application portal.
