Established in 2011 by Dr. Basanti Majumdar, M.Sc. (Class of ‘87) and faculty member of the School of Nursing since 1971, in memory of her mother. To be awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in Level 3 in the McMaster Nursing program who attain high averages and who are enrolled in, or have completed a clinical placement in either a Northern Canadian or an International location.

Qualifications
- Applicant must be in academic level 3.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate.
- This award is plan specific.
- This award is not second degree eligible.
- Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
- Applicant must be enrolled.
- Applicant must be a current student.
- Applicant must have a minimum 8.0 cumulative GPA.
- Applicant must have a minimum 24 graded units.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 3 sessional graded units
- Applicant must be eligible for in-course awards (Graduating students are not eligible).
