Established in 1981 by the Canadian Engineering and Contracting Co. Limited in honour of its founder. To be awarded to a student enrolled in Level 3 of the Civil Engineering program, or Level 4 of the Civil Engineering and Management program. Award is based on scholarship Fall-Winter Average of at least 9.5 and evidence of leadership, self-motivation, and practical aptitude appropriate for a future in the construction industry.

Requirements
- Applicant must be academic level 3 or 4.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate.
- This award is specific to students in the Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering and Management programs.
- This award is not second degree eligible.
- Applicant must be enrolled.
- Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
- Applicant must be a current student.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 18 graded units in the current year.
- Applicant must have a minimum 9.5 sessional average.
- Applicant must be eligible for in-course awards (Graduating students are not eligible).
