To be awarded to undergraduate students enrolled in Level 2 or above in a Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering program who attain high averages, demonstrate involvement in extracurricular or volunteer activities, and have an interest in pursuing an engineering consulting career.

The recipient of the McMaster University Hatch Engineering Scholarship 2025 will be given a financial package of $24,000
Requirements
- Applicant must be a minimum academic level 2.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate.
- This award is not second degree eligible.
- Applicant must be enrolled.
- Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
- Applicant must be a current student.
- Applicant must be enrolled in an Honours, Honours Co-op, Honours Internship, Bachelors, or Bachelors Co-op program.
- This award is specific to students in a Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering program.
- This award is specific to students in the Faculty of Engineering.
- Applicant must have a minimum of 18 graded units in the current year.
- Applicants must have a minimum 9.5 sessional average.
- Applicant must be eligible for in-course awards (Graduating students are not eligible).
