McMaster University Marjorie Anderson Award for Indigenous Students 2025

To be awarded to students who self-identify as Inuk, or as Status/Non-status First Nations from the Six Nations of the Grand River or the Mississauga of the Credit First Nation, who are entering their first baccalaureate degree program with a minimum average of 75%, and demonstrate financial need.

Benefits

Value: $80,000 ($20,000 each year). The financial award is renewable for three additional years at the same value for those who remain enrolled full-time and achieve a minimum Grade Point Average of 8.0.

Requirements

  • Applicant must have read, understood and agreed to the Student Declaration.
  • Applicant must have an active application for admission.
  • Applicant must not be an international (VISA) student applying for admission to a program at McMaster.
  • Applicant must be an Indigenous student applying for admission to program at McMaster.
  • Applicant must have a current admission application.

Note: To be considered for this opportunity, proof of Indigenous Identity is required. Please ensure you have uploaded your proof of identity after your self-declaration on the AwardSpring common application AND your Indigenous Identity Verification opportunity on your AwardSpring dashboard (Scholarships tab) has been approved before the application deadline.
