The Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) and the Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council (NSTHRC) are pleased to announce a new addition to their scholarship program, with the launch of the Tourism Employer Investment Fund.
This support fund will accept applications from a business owner or senior employee of the company, as they look to enhance their skills and knowledge through a wide variety of training and learning opportunities, or pursue business expansion opportunities.

This Scholarship is presented annually in the amount of $1000 and is renewable for one additional year in the amount of $500
Requirements
- Program: Successful candidates must be pursuing post-secondary education in a recognized culinary program.
- Eligibility: All applicants must be graduating from a Nova Scotia High School in the current calendar year.
- Applications should include:
- A 500 word essay describing why the applicant has chosen to pursue a career in the culinary trade
- Resume
- Official school transcript
- 2 references; one academic and one extra curricular/professional
