The objective of the Canada Graduate Scholarships - Master’s (CGS-M) program is to help develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.
$17,500 for 12 months, non-renewable
Canadian citizens and permanent residents or a Protected Person under subsection 95 (2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) as of the application deadline date are eligible to be considered for a CGS-M scholarship.

Quotas
Applicants must submit their application through the tri-agency portal (Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)) and identify up to three institutions where they would like their application to be considered. The scholarship is not portable.
Eligible students are required to submit their application via the Research Portal by December 1 at 8 p.m. If the deadline falls on a weekend, applications must be submitted by the following business day before 8 p.m. (EST).
