The President’s Award for Rural Alberta Nursing Students is intended to recognize & reward AU’s Bachelor of Nursing students who have demonstrated their commitment to improving health care by applying their AU credential to employment in a rural Alberta healthcare setting.

Requirements
- Post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing, or Post-RN Bachelor of Nursing program students in their final year of studies?
- Minimum GPA of 3.0?
- Live in rural Alberta (defined as a rural, remote or small centre (population less than 25,000) based on data from Stats Can)
Selection Process
- Applicants will be required to submit a short essay response (max. 600 words) to the question: Using your AU Bachelor of Nursing degree, what are your long-term plans to contribute to healthcare and wellness in your rural community? ???????
