These scholarships are open to students studying at all institutions in Canada. All scholarship applicants must be enrolled full-time in any diploma or degree program in their 2nd or 3rd year with an interest in the energy industry to be eligible. The scholarship is open to global citizens; applicants are NOT required to be Canadian citizens nor permanent residents to apply. However, students must be eligible to work in Canada, and must be living in or willing to relocate to the respective location for the prospective internship term, if successful. Beginning in the 2024 scholarship season, the Society of Petroleum Engineers Canadian Educational Foundation has partnered with companies working in the energy industry to provide Corporate Partnered Scholarships - valued at $5,000 CAD each - to students across Canada pursuing a degree or diploma with the intentions to enter the Energy Industry?upon graduation. The winners of these scholarships are not only awarded the scholarship funds, but also guaranteed an interview for a potential internship with the respective company.
