The Climate Change/Net Zero scholarship has been established specifically to encourage and recognize undergraduate students who showed a special interest in their career path, volunteer activities, work experience and/or community leadership, in helping Canada in 1) its adaptation to climate change by finding ways to reduce its negative effects on population and public infrastructures and/or 2) mitigation of Greenhouse Gas emissions with a long term goal to achieve a net-zero emission profile for the country
The Canadian Academy of Engineering comprises over 800 Fellows who have made outstanding contributions to engineering in Canada and around the world. They have demonstrated their dedication to the application of science and engineering principles to advance social, environmental, economic and technical solutions. One $2,000 grant or honorarium will be awarded in 2025 for each scholarship/award.
Applicants will be judged on academic and leadership achievements, answers provided in the application form and intent to pursue a career that would contribute to the fight against climate change in the areas of adaptation or emissions reduction (mitigation).
Please ensure that the documents are submitted in the method stated in the application. Any other methods of submission will not be accepted.
