University of Alberta Endowment Fund for Northern Studies and Research 2023

Awarded annually, the purpose of the award is to assist senior undergraduate students with satisfactory academic standing attending the U of A and entered in a degree program involving northern studies and research or study leading to a northern specialization. This scholarship is endowed by the International Winter Cities Committee (Edmonton Branch).

The Endowment Fund for Northern Studies and Research is open to senior undergraduate students who have demonstrated a commitment to pursuing northern studies and/or research. The award ($1,000) will provide financial support toward the cost of tuition, travel, or costs associated with research. Students in a degree program involving northern studies and research leading to a northern specialization

• Completed Google application form
• Copy of your transcripts over the last two years. Please have it forwarded directly from the Registrar's Office to UAlberta North, 11011-88 Avenue
• One letter in support of your application from a faculty member of the University of Alberta who knows about your interests and goals. Please have the letter emailed to [email protected] with the subject line "student last name - Northern Endowment". The letter of support must not exceed ONE page.
