Financially support students who stand out for the excellence of their academic record and who are at the stage of writing their essay, dissertation or thesis. Candidates must commit to investing primarily in writing and not to hold a full-time paid job. The aim of the scholarship program is to facilitate the advancement of studies and to encourage graduation within the time limits prescribed by the program.

Requirements for University of Laval Faculty of Law Writing Scholarship Qualification
- Be registered full-time for a master's degree with thesis or a doctorate in law during the winter 2024 session (12 credits)
- Have completed their schooling, including the dissertation project presentation workshop OR the prospective examination for doctoral candidates
- Be at the stage of writing the dissertation or thesis (winter or summer)
Priority will be given to candidates whose writing process is well underway

Documents Required for Application
The file must contain:
- A letter of approximately one and a half pages to present the subject of your research project, explain its interest and propose a timetable for the progress of the work;
- The list of sources of financing and remuneration obtained during the last school year;
- Your final transcript for the baccalaureate or license (if in the second cycle) and the master's or master's degree (if in the doctorate), as well as your most recent transcript from Laval University;
- Your resume .
Submission of the file:
- Complete files must be submitted no later than March 24, 2024 .
- Any incomplete file or file received after the period indicated as the deadline will be rejected.
