The University of Laval Molson Foundation Francophone Immersion Scholarship 2024-2025 is desined to reward English-speaking students wishing to undertake university studies in a 1st, 2nd or 3rd cycle program at Université Laval.

Benefits

Several scholarships of varying amounts ($5,000 for a one-year study program and $10,000 for a degree program (payable over two years))

Requirements

  • Be an English-speaking candidate;
  • Have a permanent address outside the province of Quebec  at the time of filing the application;
  • Be a non-resident of Quebec (not have been born in Quebec and not have Quebec resident status);
  • Begin studies at Université Laval in the winter 2025 session in an eligible program;
  • Register full-time* (or  deemed full-time according to Student Financial Aid ) at Université Laval throughout the study program for which the scholarship was awarded.

Part-time student (6 to 11 credits): If you are recognized as a student parent under the terms of Université Laval's Policy on Student Parents , you may be considered eligible for this competition. To this end, it is your responsibility to provide us with the certificate issued by the Registrar's Office by writing to [email protected]  and  specifying the scholarship program in question. Please note that a delay of 7 business days is to be expected to obtain this document.

  • Academic performance

  • First cycle

    • All baccalaureates
  • Second cycle

    • All Masteries
  • Third cycle

    • All doctorates

Certificates and DESS are also eligible.

Visiting students and students admitted to the French language training program in a minority setting are not eligible.

Application Documents

You must complete the online form.

In the appropriate section of the electronic form, you will need to:

  • Attach a copy of your latest transcript which must include all the results of the diploma obtained (your documents can be in French or English).
  • Attach a copy of your primary or secondary school transcript.
