Benefits

$6,000 per year, renewable for up to four years (total value up to $24,000)

Renewal requires:

• Full-time enrollment

• Minimum 3.5 GPA each year

• Continued financial need (confirmed by loan assessment + bursary application yearly)

Requirements

• Canadian citizen or permanent resident

• Graduated from a Canadian high school/CEGEP within 18 months before Fall 2024

• Demonstrated financial need via government student loan assessment

• Minimum 80% average in high school admission courses

• Register for full-time studies (18 credit hours minimum) in University 1 or a faculty/school that admits directly from high school

Selection Process

• Academic achievement (minimum 80% average)

• Financial need as shown in government loan assessment

• Full-time registration in an eligible first-year program

• Complete and accurate application submitted before July 15, 2025

Application Documents

• Completed University of Manitoba Entrance Bursary Application (via Aurora)

• Final government student loan assessment for the 2025/2026 session

• (Optional but recommended): Complete General Bursary Application in August for other awards

The University of Manitoba Entrance Bursary Application for this bursary and the Asper Foundation Entrance Bursary is now available through the Aurora Student Portal (Aurora Classic) and will close July 15th.
