Are you from abroad? Take advantage of the exemption from tuition fees charged to international students thanks to the scholarship program set up by UdeM. The UdeM exemption scholarship program is designed to support international candidates in their university studies. Since the fall of 2020, it is possible to benefit from an exemption from the tuition fees normally charged to international students.
The goal of this program is to help the best talent from all countries attend one of the finest francophone research universities in the world. In turn, these international students will help fulfil our educational mission by enriching the cultural diversity of the Université de Montréal community.
You could benefit from the UdeM exemption scholarship if you are admitted to a degree program, namely a bachelor's degree.
The excellence of your academic record is the only evaluation criterion to determine the value of the scholarship. This assessment is made based on the transcripts provided during the admission application. The results of the assessment will determine the amount to which you may be entitled. If after the assessment, your file does not qualify for level A or B, you will not benefit from the UdeM exemption scholarship.
Level | Amount/credit | Amount/session, full time (equivalent to 15 credits) |
Amount/year (2 sessions), full time (equivalent to 30 credits) |
A | $458.02 | $6,870.30 | $13,740.60 |
B | $218.28 | $3,274.20 | $6,548.40 |
To be eligible, the candidate must:
If one of the above conditions is not met, the UdeM exemption scholarship may be withdrawn.
