This scholarship is established at the University of Prince Edward Island by the family, friends and colleagues of Michael Kelly to honour his life and contribution to Prince Edward Island. This award is intended to assist a deserving Island student who demonstrates leadership, academic and athletic ability to make a similar contribution
The scholarship will cover full tuition fees for the first year of studies and may be renewable for three further years of study. For the renewable portion of this award, students must maintain an average of 75% in their first year of study, and 80% in their subsequent three years of study while carrying a full-time course load of 30 semester hours over the academic year (September to May).
Awarded to a first year PEI high school student, who best demonstrates the characteristics of leadership, community involvement, outstanding athletic ability, and academic excellence.
