University of Regina Chancellor's Scholarship 2024

We are pleased to offer a new scholarship at the University of Regina for academically high achieving domestic students.

Beginning in Fall 2024, the Chancellor’s Scholarship will be awarded annually to 14 undergraduate students who meet a variety of criteria, including a minimum admission average of 95%. This scholarship is being offered to students directly from high school, or high school graduates who have not completed any post-secondary course (other than those completed while the student was still in high school, such as the High School Accelerated Program).

University of Regina Chancellor's Scholarship


Aim and Benefits of University of Regina Chancellor's Scholarship

The recipients will receive $10,000 a year over four years, plus on-campus housing for the first year. The value of each scholarship is just over $46,000. One award is reserved for Indigenous applicants and one award is reserved for out-of-province applicants.


Requirements for University of Regina Chancellor's Scholarship Qualification

Details

  • Maximum of 14 awards for domestic students (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person)
  • Minimum admission average of 95% to an undergraduate degree program
  • Entering directly from high school, or as a high school graduate who has not completed any post-secondary courses (other than those completed while the student was still in high school, such as in the High School Accelerated program)
  • Application required and includes a written statement, activity summary, reference letter, and referee
  • Deadline to apply is December 15, 2024
  • To hold this scholarship students must register and remain registered in a minimum of 9 credit hours per term up to and including the last day of classes
  • To renew this scholarship for up to 3 additional years, recipients must maintain a minimum sessional GPA (prior spring/summer, fall, and winter terms) of 80% on a minimum of 18 credit hours
  • A full year of Housing Rental Fees within U of R owned and operated Housing (K?šik Towers,
    Paskw?w and Wakpá Towers, La Résidence, and College West).
  • Housing Rental Fees are only covered by the scholarship for the recipient’s first year and are
