In addition to supporting exceptional student achievement and recognizing the importance of our educational institutions, the program supports Council’s vision of providing opportunities for young people in our community.

The purpose of the Henry Baker Scholarship Program is to:
- support the aim of the City's economic development strategy to foster the potential of Regina's growing Aboriginal community;
- reflect the City of Regina's commitment to employment equity; and
- recognize the important role the University of Regina, First Nations University of Canada and Saskatchewan Polytechnic play in our community.
The winner of University of Regina City of Regina Henry Baker Scholarships will be awarded $2000
Requirements
- Registered as a full-time master's or doctoral student at the University of Regina in the Fall semester
- Have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 80%
- Thesis or graduate studies (course-based students) relates to a community issue

- your community involvement, volunteerism and personal or family life experiences;
- your academic and career objectives;

- graduate students must also describe how their thesis or graduate studies (for course-based students) relates to a community issue.
- Submission Format: Attachments must be typed and should be no more than two pages
- Reference letters are not required and will not be considered
