Open to students entering or continuing full-time graduate studies in a M.Sc. or Ph.D. program engaged in research to develop or apply methods to create, identify or select superior forage, cereal, oilseed, or pulse crops for commercial agriculture.
The financial package for the Master's scholarship is - $35,000/year (4 yrs.) $5,000 travel allowance, which may be used over the life of the award. These totals are subject to change at the discretion of the Awards committee.
As outlined in the CGPS policy on Centrally Administered Funding, a student may not hold two major internal institutional scholarships at the same time, or a major institutional scholarship and a major external scholarship. A major scholarship is defined as equal to or more than $17,500 per year. Top-up awards and honorary scholarships at a reduced value may be combined with major scholarships. It is your responsibility to inform the College of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies of any such funding that you are receiving.
Three letters of recommendation from individuals familiar with the student's academic work can be sent in confidence to [email protected]. Please ensure the referee includes the name of the scholarship and the student's name in the first paragraph of the letter.
