The David Johnston – Lebovic Foundation International Experience Awards support University of Waterloo students pursuing international opportunities in Israel. Whether through co-op work placements, volunteer programs, or academic study terms, the award honours the former university president’s passion for global experiences.
Up to $2,500 for a one-term academic study experience
Between $2,500 and $5,000 for a one-term work or volunteer experience
Up to $10,000 for a two-term work or volunteer experience
Must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at Waterloo
Must participate in an international experience in Israel, such as:
Academic exchange/study term
Volunteer placement
International co-op (minimally-paid or volunteer)
Must be in good academic standing:
Minimum 70% average (undergraduate)
Minimum 75% average (graduate)
