Western offers an unlimited number of Continue in Canada Admission Scholarships as our commitment to support the diverse needs of international students in their academic journey.
$40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year for four years of undergraduate studies)
You must be completing high school in Canada on a study permit.
You must be applying for admission directly from secondary school to a first-year undergraduate program at main campus in the 2025-26 Fall/Winter to be eligible. Generally, students who have attended a post-secondary institution, or students who attended a post-secondary institution and then returned to secondary school, are not eligible. Please direct any questions regarding scholarship eligibility for your specific situation to the International Undergraduate Recruitment team at [email protected].
You must be studying on a Canadian study permit and paying international student tuition and fees. Any changes to your status in Canada that qualify you for domestic fees (i.e., Who Pays Canadian Tuition Fees?) after receiving a scholarship offer may render you ineligible for the initial and any continuing payments.
To retain the scholarship offer in the first year, you must:
You must meet the admission conditions as specified in your offer package.
Register to an undergraduate degree program at the main campus and take a full time status (a minimum of 3.5 courses) during the Fall/Winter academic year (September to April).
If you enroll or reduce your course load to part-time (less than 3.5 courses) or withdraw from the academic year, you will not be eligible to keep your scholarship. The residence guarantee is not conditional on meeting requirements for scholarship fund renewal.
You must be paying international student tuition and fees.
Continue in Canada Admission Scholarship cannot be deferred.
To renew the scholarship ($10,000) in the upper year, you must:
Maintain an 80% average on a full time status (a minimum of 3.5 courses) during the previous Fall/Winter academic year (September to April).
You must be paying international student tuition and fees.
Letter of permission courses taken during the academic year will not count toward the course load.
Residence Guarantee:
Recipients are guaranteed 4 years in residence provided they continue to be registered in an undergraduate program at the Western Main campus and pay international student tuition and fees. The residence guarantee is not conditional on meeting requirements for scholarship fund renewal in your upper years.
There is no separate application process. All international students who meet the eligibility criteria will be considered.
