Calgary Foundation Beyond the North Scholarship 2025

The Beyond the North Scholarship was established in 2021 by a group of friends who grew up in the Fairview, Alberta area and pursued post-secondary education and careers in Canadian urban centres. In recognition of their foundational years in northern Alberta, and inspired by opportunities available in new environments outside of northern Alberta, the Beyond the North Scholarship was created to support a Grade 12 student graduating from a Fairview area high school to attend a recognized Canadian university, in pursuit of personal and professional goals and building a career beyond the north.

One scholarship of $1,000, applied directly to tuition.

Requirements

Applicant must:

• Be graduating Grade 12 this year from a high school in the Fairview, Alberta area: Fairview High School, Fairview and Area Learning Store, St. Thomas Moore Catholic School, Hines Creek Composite School, or Worsley Central School.
• Be directly entering a four-year undergraduate degree at a recognized Canadian University in the upcoming year.
• Demonstrate high academic standing, community involvement, and future goals and aspirations beyond the north.
